GIVEAWAY: WIN a dress from rubypearl!!!

Attention fashion followers…local Austin, TX designer Sunny Haralson is a fan of our little blog and decided to partner up with us for our first giveaway. Sunny is an amazing designer and has a fab line called rubypearl (click here to see her collection on etsy.com). The collection is handmade by Ms. Haralson and I have to say, these one-of-a-kind dresses are T.D.F. (to die for, come on ladies!) I especially love the “reserve for eclectic dress”. What can I say, my heart beats for anything that will make my teeny boobies look fantastic and, who can turn down vintage corsets? The aesthetic of this dress is so fresh – Sunny used lace from a 50’s wedding dress and flowers that were embroidered by hand. To top it off, this beauty buttons down the back. Um, where do I sign? I have already started thinking about the fabulous places I can debut the dress. It will be perfect for summer and the structured shape promises a flattering fit. Sunny’s designs are creative and distinctive, two characteristics that keep her in demand and super busy. Cheers to you Ms. Haralson – the “we heart fashion” gals are huge fans! And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for…the dress giveaway! We are going to giveaway the “london” dress, handmade by Sunny for her line rubypearl. We are in love! The lace on top radiates girliness and the unique print promises that no one will be wearing the same dress as you! Plus, coral is a great shade for all the sunkissed beach gals out there. Ready to win? All you have to do is:
Become a follower of our blog and then leave a comment on this post answering the question – where will you “rock the frock” this summer? Why? The “we heart fashion” gals will choose the most creative, exciting answer and announce the winner next Monday. 4. I just moved 1,000 miles from Austin, TX to Chicago, IL to attend graduate school this fall. I have nothing to wear and (because I'm an artist and student) no money to buy new clothes. I can't sew to save my life, so there goes that option. On top of that, there is only about a month left of warm weather to even wear a dresss in the Windy City!

If I'm ever going to look fabulous for my own house warming party, this rubypearl dress is my only hope. Help a poor artist out...

    Cheers!

  5. I'm about to graduate from high school, and I'm taking a year off from school before I make the GIANT move from Vancouver, Washington to Sarah Lawrence College in New York.

I plan the spend the next year selling my art and working full time and I will rock this frock all the while!

I'll rock this frock at Last Thursday on Alberta Street in Portland while peddling my art, while filling out student loan applications. While riding the bus to job interviews. While typing horribly fragmented sentences in blogs! And I'll take this frock to New York with me and rock it there next
    year!

I will rock this frock until the my skin fuses with the fabric fibers and I become some strange, hairy, smelly, fashionable Sasquatch woman...

Yeah. Heh. I really like it.

    Thanks for the consideration.
    Brittany

  7. i would rock this frock at the worlds largest aquarium in Atlanta when i go there this summer with my kids because the dophin and belugas will admire it and pay attention to us and my kids will think it's them getting love from the beluga. then i'll hand wash it and wear it to the zoo in Atlanta to impress the pandas Xi Lan & Lun Lun. Plus i bet Atlantans have never beheld such a joy as a Ruby Pearl dress

  9. Ladies, it's time to get serious about our fashion choices. I'm not talking about avoiding fashion frumps and flattering our figures; I'm referring to how our outfits are no longer just a memory of "what I wore last Thursday." Thanks to the Social Media explosion, this dress will not only be tagged on Facebook, but raved about on Twitter, Stumbled Upon, prevalent on tumblr, blogged about, and most importantly permanently documented across virtual platforms. Who better to rock it than I, someone whose online presence is widespread, whose color coordination is impeccable, and who understands the impact of a bangin' outfit.

Let's get our priorities straight here; every starlet knows that "Rocking the Frock" involves so much more than putting it on. I plan to strategically pair this lil' thang with some wicked heels, a complimentary (but not overpowering) clutch, and a feather in my hair as a nod to the eclectic feel of the rubypearl brand. My main goal here is to increase awareness and appeal of rubypearl. With a background in marketing, I understand the power of building a brand and successful word-of-mouth campaigns.

Where will I wear it? Only in the passionate, free-spirited city of Chicago. I'll be turning heads on the Magnificent Mile (making the tourists crave my city girl style), and impressing locals at the Belmont Festival. I'll make Sunday brunch a rubypearl affair, and take her out on the town Saturday night. She'll be the perfect conversation piece at the office on casual Fridays, because fashion this good is meant to be shared.

So to my blog authors: I hate what I'm wearing, too. I'm dying for something flirty to wear that doesn't have 500 duplicates flirting around Chicago as well. Won't you help a Midwest girl out?

  10. I have been thinking about this question all week. I wanted to give the best and honest answer possible as to where I would rock this frock.

I would rock this sweet rubypearl dress when I am going out with my friends for a show at the bar. The dress would be the talk of the night as it is not usually something I would wear, but holy shit that dress is way super cute and rubypearl makes beautiful clothes. PBR would be in one hand and some sort of terrible hipster band would be playing in the background.

This dress would be worn on a girls night out where we pretend to be classy by drink wine and talking about things that matter at a cute restaurant. The conversation would start off with talking about how awesome the dress is, and then probably drift to dinosaurs and vikings because that is how our conversations usually end up.

But my favorite place I would rock this frock is at night on a porch (That is not mine. The house is for sale) that has rocking chairs on it. I would be drinking mohitos with my guy and giggling about how ridiculous we are to be borrowing a porch in the summertime, but how great an evening it is, especially because I would be wearing that dress.

And that is how I would rock that awesome dress. (frock)
